Neuroinflammation And Biomarkers For Suicide Risk

Love You Adam proceeds go to evidence-based suicide prevention methods and research that are directly preventing suicide. One area of promising research is in neuroinflammation and biomarker identification and treatment.

Current methods of screening and predicting suicide have had little to no impact on preventing suicide, and in fact suicide rates are higher than ever.

One area of promising research is in identifying reliable biomarkers that confirm an inflammatory state, known to be a common condition in suicide victims and suicidal patients. The hope is that in the future, a simple blood test could test for this biomarker so that doctors can prescribe current and new anti-inflammatory medications and reduce a patient's risk of suicide.
