Growing up in Iowa, Adam's legendary adventures with his childhood friends and close cousins created lifelong memories and bonds. In high school Adam DJed on the school radio station, where he and his co-anchor became renowned for playing the best music and orchestrating practical jokes on air. After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, Adam worked in environmental permitting for a major energy company for the duration of his career.
Adam was a talented musician with a passion for writing music and playing guitar. He also enjoyed the outdoors, live music, and spending time with his daughter. Adam's wittiness extended to his many friends and family, whose hilarious stories about Adam will live on forever.
Adam Hart passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 44, as a result of suicide. Love You Adam was started to honor Adam and to take action to prevent suicide.
First responders, schools, community crisis centers and churches, the first line of defense for suicidal patients, often lack training in evidence-based suicide prevention approaches. Love You Adam is changing that. We fund training in more effective therapy approaches for those at the forefront of suicide prevention in communities.
