Adam's Gifts: Hope After Loss

You can't forget Adam. To so many, Adam gave the gift of laughter - uncontrollable, laugh-until-you-cry laughter - through his incredible wit and sense of humor.

Adam gave through music. He found pure joy in live music. He played every variety of string instruments, and was a patient teacher to others who wanted to learn.

I didn’t appreciate the immensity of Adam’s impact until it was too late.

With all of his gifts, Adam felt alone, lost, hopeless in the end. The silent screams in my head when he died were ”Adam, how could you? Why didn’t you reach out for help? How can you think your life isn’t worth living and leave us here, picking up the pieces, trying to put ourselves back together?” Finding hope after loss felt impossible.

But every 8 minutes, someone commits suicide for a similar reason. New research confirms that most of the traditional approaches to suicide prevention aren't helping - in fact suicide is growing. What do we do then?

Our purpose emerged out of the realization of the immensity of this problem, and also from learning that solutions do exist.

For this reason, Love You Adam proceeds go to evidence-based therapy and research that are directly preventing suicide, so that we can give the most precious gifts of all: Life, hope and love.

No one deserves to die from suicide. No one deserves to endure the pain caused by losing someone to suicide. Please help us save more lives by giving your support at https://loveyouadam.org/donate.
